Aminah Fatimah Robinson
Chef Mimi
Driven
The name Aminah means faithful, trust worthy and honest. These are a few words that
describe this, talented young woman. As a child many friends would call her Mimi and after
becoming a chef she took on the nick name Chef Mimi. Chef Mimi’s great worthiness is
shown through her passion for food, entrepreneurial sprit and light hearted personality.

Chef Mimi’s passion and love for Culinary Artsbegan at 12 after sending away for a
brochure from The San Francisco California Culinary Arts Academy, not aware, of the
demanding skills, cost, and age requirements. Upon graduating High School she applied, and
at the young age of 19 she was the youngest of her class to graduate from the prestigious
San Francisco, California Culinary Arts Academy.

Shortly after graduating she started a job asa Restaurant Consultant. Creating a new
concept for burritos called “Wraps” where the traditional burrito filling is substitute by the
great foods of the world. One year later, after successfully opening a 10 chain restaurant.
She moves on to become a Food Service Director for St. Albert’s College where she was
faced with revamping a lost kitchen with no structure. In less than 4 months she turned
it into a first class upscale kitchen. Where educated world travelers with sophisticated
palates get the chance to be amazed with her culinary flair.

Four years later she searched for a new beginning and started her own upscale fine dining
Catering Company (Top Hat Catering and Events). Catering exclusive wedding in Napa’s
